Cristiano Ronaldo and Motor Oil?

What won't this guy sell? But if I stop and think, "Would I do a commercial for Castrol if they paid me?" I would have to say, "Yes!"

Behind the Scenes Footage

I'm Broke!

Reports out of England say that former Liverpool man, John Barnes is bankrupt. The news comes shortly after he was let go by Tranmere after they were spanked 5-0 by Millwall. At least John was successful during his stint in Jamaica...which is really close to a few banks in the Cayman Islands. Just saying, and the dude did rap, and he might do it again.

Financial Football

Landon Donovan and Brian McBride helped ring the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange on Wednesday as Visa kicked off a new financial educational game using soccer. Financial Soccer in the US and Financial Footballl in the UK is geared around Visa's commitment to worldwide financial intelligence. I tried the game out and crushed the UK (yes, it's the UK in the game) by answering all the hard questions (disclaimer: I work in finance). I have to admit, if you ever wanted to take your financial literacy into your own hands, then this is a place to start.

Here's video of the opening bell from yesterday.

And here's the game in action.

The Hamptons Life - It's On Sale Too

Like everywhere else, the Hamptons Life is on sale too.Check out this video from Bloomberg:

I know that I've bagged on the Guidos a few times in the past, but those guys don't really live there...they just show up on the weekends and annoy the crap out of the locals. Like this guy...who thinks he knows Capoeira.

Now on to the real Hamptons...I give you a glimpse of the inside of one of those Hamptons homes. The Forbes Video Network has a tour of a house worth $13,000,000. You can check it out here.

Another Sale

With everybody trying to bring in revenue, the designers over at Emerald Pitch are having a sale on their SSFC Urban Collection. So for all of you Sounders fans out there that can't drop 70 bones on a jersey, you can pick up a nice shirt for a measly 10 bucks. Click here for the sale.

New ManU Shirt Sponsor

According to Soccernet, Manchester United have found a new shirt sponsor in the Aon Corporation. The new 4 year agreement will take effect for the 2010-2011 season and is believed to be just over $38 million a year. Aon Corporation (NYSE: AOC) is the leading global provider of risk management, insurance and reinsurance brokerage and human capital consulting. Let's hope the American taxpayers don't have to bail out these guys too.
What are your thoughts on the new sponsor? Do you wish they would have gotten a company a little more hip? Did United sell out to the man? Holla!
