New ManU Shirt Sponsor
According to Soccernet, Manchester United have found a new shirt sponsor in the Aon Corporation. The new 4 year agreement will take effect for the 2010-2011 season and is believed to be just over $38 million a year. Aon Corporation (NYSE: AOC) is the leading global provider of risk management, insurance and reinsurance brokerage and human capital consulting. Let's hope the American taxpayers don't have to bail out these guys too.
What are your thoughts on the new sponsor? Do you wish they would have gotten a company a little more hip? Did United sell out to the man? Holla!

for 38 mill a year, I would sell out.
ReplyDeleteMoney talks bull*hit walks. Money, straight up money. I'm with White Kix.
ReplyDeleteOutside of money managers and Wall Street types, who's ever heard of Aon? I would have liked to see a cooler company sponsor the team. I think that the Seattle Sounders have pretty much the best shirt sponsor out there right now. It dosen't get much better than the Xbox 360.
ReplyDeleteI was also reading that Aon is awfully stoked to have 6.6 Million walking billboards for the next four years. I think the biggest thing for them is NOW, people have heard of Aon.
Thanks for the comments!
