Seriously... What is this about?

Something that's been on my mind for while is all the hate coming from this group know as, "ACES," Any Club Except Seattle. I mean I get it, anti Corporation... But let's look at it from another point of view. Is it really that bad for MLS to have a team like Seattle? The hate is just ridiculous! Yes, SSFC has spent a lot of money in building a quality team, Marketing campaigns and aquiring the right sponsors, but... is this something to be angry against. Their excuse is that they have paid their dues, and having a team buy success is wrong. what the hell does that mean?! So, in order to have success one cannot invest to make it a success? I am a firm believer in learning from others mistakes and if I am going to do something I will do it the right way to make it a success. I see this in the FO of SSFC; they learned from the poor attendance from other teams, as well as the lack of marketing around the league, so by investing as much money as they did they have become successful in their short existence, why is this wrong?! I'm sure any team around the league would love to have what Seattle has. I see teams like Dallas, DC and even NY are having a doozy of a time filling seats. Is this what ACES means about paying dues, not having much support? I wish my Miami Fusion could of had this success, they would have still been in the league. Corporation is not a bad word, sure there are "evil," people in many Corporations but to have a great organized business involved in a soccer team is a good thing. The hate doesn't make sense and it seems their reasons are petty.
Here is a list of the things ACES is against:
-Family Oriented Entertainment: Really?! Something is wrong with this?! Someone's dad obviously didn't hug them enough, if this is wrong!

-Marching Bands in Soccer: Although I am not a fan of this, the march to the match is pretty fun, I just don't like it during the game.

-Neon Green Kits: Teams around MLS have Red, blue, black and white. Yeah, seems really stupid to go green. Sounders should have been like the rest of the league.

-Weak Local Support (read ECS): Weak Support? have they seen a game at qwest?

-Plastic Grass: Not my favorite either, but is this something to hate a team for? Keep digging.

-Male Models as Players: Uh oh... someone's girlfriend isn't paying much attention to them.

-Clubs Owned by Comedians: I feel like they are really searching.

-Clubs Owned by Microsoft®: Yeah, you're right, what a horrible sponsor! How dare Seattle get support from such a huge name. What are they thinking over there?! Maybe they should've been sponsored by VW.
-Seattle Sounders FC: Ridiculous.
Maybe ACES should use all their energy toward something positive with their own team(s). It does look as if they went through great length to become what they are, just think of what they could have done if they decided to help market the clubs they support. It's a bit troubling and discouraging to see this in our league. Rivalry and routing against the opposite team is great, but ACES has taken it to another level, a level that is almost as disgusting as many hate groups that are out there and that my friends is something we can all do without. Seattle, keep doing what you're doing. ACES, change your tune and be positive! What you stand for is only making you less about Footy and more of just wanting to hate.

  1. MLSR loves to stir the pot, maybe even smoke it. They always put stuff up about Seattle and then they let so many of the ACES assholes write stuff that's just completely over the line. It doesn't make sense, to me either. If it was their club many Asses, I mean ACES supporters would be just as pissed if their was a group trying to make a bad name for them.

  2. We all know it was started by a bunch of Portland fans. Portscum will never amount to anything. I hope they lose to the Ventura County Sol in the next round of the U.S. Open Cup. Nothing was better than last year's loss to Hollywood United.

  3. You have to invest in your club or it will never grow. Investement is the only way to increase the natural rate, and without increasing the natural rate growth cannot be sustained. Sorry, I sat through 9 hours of class today including Macroeconomics.
